Supported Living Goals
At Connections for Adults Living Independently, we focus on the following goals to support our clients:

Independence: Empower individuals to make choices and take actions that lead to greater self-sufficiency in daily living.

Skill Development: Provide training and resources to enhance life skills, such as personal care, cooking, budgeting, and transportation.

Social Integration: Encourage participation in community activities and events to build social connections and reduce isolation.

Health and Wellness: Promote physical and mental well-being through access to healthcare, nutrition education, and recreational activities.

Safety and Security: Ensure a safe living environment and provide support in understanding personal safety practices.

Financial Management: Assist with budgeting and managing finances to ensure bills are paid and financial goals are met.

Personal Growth: Support personal interests and hobbies to foster a sense of achievement and fulfillment.

Who is Eligible?
CALI clients must be at least 18 years old and current clients of the San Diego Regional Center. Our staff can help you get connected with the SDRC.

CALI clients must also have been diagnosed with a developmental disability that originated prior to age 18, such as:

Intellectual disability

Cerebral Palsy

Epilepsy
-
Autism
-
Other conditions closely related to intellectual disability or requiring treatment similar to that of developmental/intellectual disability
​
The condition must be likely to continue indefinitely and constitute a substantial disability in three or more of the following areas: communication, learning, self-direction, capacity for independent living, economic self-sufficiency, self care, and/or mobility.
